Love and Hope Children's Home, an orphanage commited to community outreach, is a model of authentic biblical community and unconditional love. The team will serve with Rachel and Maurico Ortega and their family of nearly 30 adopted children, ministering to the many destitute lives in the surrounding area.
Work projects will include any necessary construction at the orphanage, as well as serving food and meeting other material needs in and around the city of Nejapa. Come eager to serve and be prepared for God to challenge your understanding of community and what it means to live out the Gospel of Christ.
Also in early 2009
- Two men's teams are being planned for the third and fourth weeks of January.
- One women's team will serve in February.
- A dental team is planned for February, following the return of the women's team.
